Metro Board Approves STC LPA (January 2026)
On January 22, 2026, the Metro Board voted unanimously to adopt the Metro staff recommendation of Modified Alternative 5, an underground heavy-rail alignment, as the Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA). This not only marks a major milestone but also meets the STC4All goals: a direct station on UCLA’s campus and a seamless connection to the Purple/D Line Westwood Village station.
Thank you to the Coalition members, supporters and students who advocated at the Board meeting, and at many other meetings and events over the past several years. STC4All voices were heard and in no small measure contributed to achieving this milestone!
