2/6 alternatives for Metro’s Sepulveda Transit Corridor project linking the Valley and Westside do not contain a direct stop at UCLA/WW! With an on-campus station, travel from UCLA to the Valley could be as fast as 12 minutes. This is a huge equity & sustainability issue! Visit stc4all.org for more info and resources or join the coalition. #STC4All

Did you know that the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project will bring rail transit to the area currently only accessible by car along the 405, providing a direct ride from the Valley to Westside? Metro is considering 6 alternatives, 2 of which do not include a direct station at UCLA and the Purple/D Line station in Westwood Village. These alternatives are being considered despite Metro’s projections that they would have lower ridership levels and slower travel times than other proposals. By Metro’s own estimates, a proposal with an on-campus station at UCLA could provide travel times between UCLA and the Valley as short as 12 minutes and serve over 100,000 riders daily. A Sepulveda Transit Corridor project with no on-campus station is unacceptable for the thousands of students, staff, faculty, medical workers, patients, and others who come to and from UCLA and Westwood each day. Metro needs to hear our voices, otherwise they might choose an alternative with negative impacts for decades to come. Visit stc4all.org for resources on spreading the word, joining the coalition, as well as for more information on the issue. #STC4All
