Longer Version:
Did you know that LA Metro will soon consider proposed station locations for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project? Starting in early 2023, through a series of in-person and virtual community meetings Metro will discuss proposed stations and entrances for the project. It's imperative that Metro include a station location on the UCLA campus, and that there is a direct connection to the Purple/D Line in Westwood Village. Both of these elements will improve accessibility to LA's premier public research university and promote equity for Angelenos. As the fourth largest employer in LA County, UCLA accounts for a large commuter population including students and employees. Ensuring an on campus UCLA station will provide benefits to the 84,000 daytime commuters, workers, and travelers coming from and to the campus everyday.
